Our Sofer, Rabbi Yitzchok Weinberger of Lakewood, will be at the shul on Monday, December 12, and Tuesday, December 13, to check mezuzot only.
 
There will be a box in the shul lobby where mezuzot can be left, and another into which Rabbi Weinberger will place checked items. Rabbi Weinberger will be doing his work on the lower level of the shul. The cost is $14 per mezuzah.
 
New this year: Rabbi Weinberger will come to your home, take down up to 20 mezuzot, check them, and put them back up. The charge is $110 per hour; he estimates he can complete 20 mezuzot in one hour. To arrange for a home check, please contact office@bethaaron.org.
 
Checks should be made out to Congregation Beth Aaron. No work will be done by the sofer unless a check for the full amount is left with the mezuzah/mezuzot. If there is a need for replacement, the sofer will call you and make an arrangement.
